Muscular Therapy ular Therapy
Muscular therapy incorporates elements of many techniques to reduce muscular tension, increase range of motion and relaxation, and achieve better balance within the body. Every session is tailored to meet the needs of the client and addresses specific concerns for what is needed that day.
Swedish (Relaxation) Massage
Swedish Massage is a very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork consisting of long, flowing strokes in combination with rolling, kneading, compressions and percussion to help the body improve circulation. The benefits of this type of bodywork include relief from general stress, aches and pains, increased mental clarity, improved appearance in skin tone, and greater flexibility.
Sports Massage
Sports Massage is a type of massage designed for active people who engage in athletics, either on a regular basis, or for the week-end warrior trying to do too much too soon. Engaging in sports is a stress on the body and can often lead to injuries if you are not prepared. Sports Massage enhances performance by helping to prevent injury, reduce pain and swelling, increase flexibility, and dramatically improve recovery time.
Deep Tissue
Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that targets the deep layers of tissue in the body to relieve tension. It is highly effective in releasing chronic holding patterns due to stress, repetitive use, poor posture and scar tissue that has formed as a result of previous injuries or surgery.
Trigger Point Therapy
This type of therapy is a therapeutic modality for the relief and control of myofascial pain and dysfunction. The treatment consists of trigger point compression and massage. Success may be measured subjectively by the level of pain reduction experienced by the client and objectively through increased range of motion, strength, endurance, and other measures of improved function.
Prenatal Massage
Prenatal Massage helps alleviate discomfort in general and especially in areas such as the the lower back as pregnancy progresses. The benefits of massage during pregnancy are many and include relief from back discomfort, reduction of joint pain due to extra weight gain and postural imbalance. Massage provides relief from digestive discomfort, improves circulation and promotes a deep sense of relaxation.
Chair (Seated) Massage
Chair massage provides a much appreciated break for employees who encounter circulatory problems inherent with office work. Sitting in a massage chair opens up the back muscles, relieves strain on the neck and provides a gentle respite for eyes usually glued to a computer monitor. An average of 15 minutes of massage to the neck, back, arms and hands can increase circulation, reduce tension and raise energy levels making a return to the job more productive.
